Väv Immersion Class – Week One

The past three days have been textile heaven!  Becky Ashenden, weaver and instructor at Vavstuga has recreated an Immersion Weaving Class she took in Sweden 35 years ago.  Six eager students gathered this week in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts at Becky’s childhood home to study Swedish Weaving Techniques with Becky.  Together we are warping looms and designing our own kitchen towels and rag rugs. We are having a great time together!

  2. Tammy, what a lovely surprise tonite. Dear heart, I am impressed by the intricacies of the loom, your spartan but charming BR. and the house in the woods. Also, I wonder what the changes have been in weaving 35 years since your teacher took the course.

Did you cut your hair? love to you, sylvias

    1. Yes, Sylvia, it is very charming here! Changes to the loom with computers attached has taken looms into a new world. And my new look includes a haircut and new glasses for the details at the loom!
